Building bridges to rescue Mother Sita

Youth Group on Saturday turned out to be a lot of fun as it always is when there is die hard competition :o)

We first read a sweet pastime from Ramayana where Hanuman finds Sitadevi.

Thereafter we divided into 3 groups where each group has one person on one side asking questions and the rest of the team on the other side answering. In order to get everyone to their side the person asking questions has a slip of paper with a word on it, he/she then has to ask a question from the pastime of Lord Rama where the answer is what is on the slip of paper. They can’t use the word on the paper in the question. When the person across answers correctly (i.e. what is on the paper) they are allowed to cross over to the other side. The team who were able to cross over all their team mates the quickest, won. … Naturally I was on the winning side ;o)) … haha

We then had the Golden Avatar awards where each actor/ess received certificates for their superb performance in the play “Seekers of Truth” (check out the pics in previous posts) and I hope we can do something similar but even better shortly.

Another exciting happening was that Ishan (as we used to know him) received initiation from HH Bhakti Caitanya Maharaja on Sunday! We are all thrilled that this should happen and Ishan’s name is now Ishvara Puri. HARIBOL! Congrats, Ishvara Puri das, wishing all the very best on your path back to Godhead!

Also we'd like to welcome the new members to our youth group. Welcome!!
